چکیده

Background: Type 2 diabetes negatively affects the biochemical parameters of bone turnover more than obesity and is associated with an increased risk osteoporosis fragility fractures. Obesity type (T2DM) are linked to fracturing risk; however, effect on diabetes-related deficit unknown. Objective: The goal this research compare indications, density, in T2DM men a control group, investigate body mass index levels. Subjects, Material Method: This case-control study was conducted 120 whose ages were from 40 - 69 years. They grouped into two categories: (n=80) healthy (n=40). Serum samples both groups analyzed for blood glucose, Calcium Albumin, by using (Cobas c111), PTH e 411), P1NP CTX-1 levels serum ELISA kits. Participants underwent (DEXA) measuring Bone Mass Density (BMD) at lumbar spine. Results: (obese non-obese) participants had statistically significant higher patients (P-value = 0.000). There no differences Spine BMD, T-score (p-value 0.27 0.37 respectively). Conclusion: Men low level deteriorated quality compared controls. obese controls can maintain metabolism if prevented.

The utility of procollagen type 1 N-terminal propeptide for the bone status assessment in postmenopausal women.

The utility of procollagen type 1 N-terminal propeptide (P1NP) in the management of metabolic bone diseases remains a subject of debate since the reference ranges are not rigorously established and fail to account for many of the preanalytical variables. We aimed to establish reference intervals for P1NP level in healthy and osteoporotic postmenopausal females stratified by age, body mass index...

Serum concentrations of carboxyl-terminal propeptide of type I procollagen, amino-terminal propeptide of type III procollagen, cross-linked carboxyl-terminal telopeptide of type I collagen, and their interrelationships in schoolchildren.

We report pediatric age- and sex-specific 95% reference intervals for procollagen type I C-terminal propeptide (PICP), the cross-linked C-terminal telopeptide of type I collagen (ICTP), and procollagen type III N-terminal propeptide (P3NP), measured in plasma from 302 schoolchildren (156 boys, 146 girls) ages 4-19 years. All three markers displayed a significant variation with age (ANOVA P < or...

Relationship between bone formation markers bone alkaline phosphatase, osteocalcin and amino-terminal propeptide of type I collagen and bone mineral density in elderly men. Preliminary results.

Bone remodeling is altered in all metabolic bone diseases, especially in post-menopausal women and in the elderly. Predicting changes in bone mineral density (BMD) is useful to manage the progression of such diseases and to potentially provide interventions in reducing fracture risk. Continuous bone formation and resorption processes can be monitored by measuring biochemical markers of bone tur...
